Sophie Thun | Kim? Contemporary Art Center, Riga

In the exhibition ‘I Don’t Remember a Thing: Entering the Elusive Estate of ZDZ*’ at Kim? Contemporary Art Center, Sophie Thun pays tribute to the preceding generation of women artist(s) that affirms their legacy and shows continuity in their efforts to create, exhibit and be respected within changing, but still constraining, hierarchies. ‘I Don’t Remember a Thing: Entering the Elusive Estate of ZDZ*’ is both exhibition and performative act—sign of a kinship that exposes the hidden, the unknown and the unconscious. Focused on the work of Zenta Dzividzinska, a fearless, marginalized, and system-defying artist whose work, in the course of her lifetime, was written off as “deplorable”and “wasteful”, the exhibition uncovers her neglected oeuvre. 15.7.2021 – 12.8.2020

Jala Wahid | LongLake Festival, Lugano

Jala Wahid’s video ‘I am a charm’ (2015) will be included in the video screening programme ‘ILLUMINATING’ curated by Eva Fabbris and Giovanna Manzotti in the context of LongLake Festival in Lugano. The event is organised by NEL. The video will be shown on 22.08.2021.

The gallery is happy to announce it’s participation at Liste Art Fair, Basel in late September 2021. The gallery will present work by Sophie Thun on a joint booth alongside Shanghai-based Gallery Vacancy who will present work by Sydney Shen.

Sophie Thun’s work will be part of the group show ‘Friedl Kubelka vom Gröller: POLYPHONY Songs of Experience’. The exhibition will be on from 22.06. – 10.10.2021.

LIESL RAFF | Wiener Festwochen, Jugendstiltheater, Vienna

Liesl Raff will be contributing with her work (objects and installations) to ‘The Slowest Urgency’, a choreography by Philipp Gehmacher. The show will be presented as part of the Wiener Festwochen at the Jugendstiltheater in Vienna from 04. – 06.06.2021.

Angelika Loderer and Irina Lotarevich | MAK, Vienna

Angelika Loderer and Irina Lotarevich are both part of the ‘Vienna Biennale 2021’ in the show ‘FOSTER. The Soil and Water Residency’ conceived by Angelika Loderer and Marlies Wirth. The Biennale runs from 28.05. – 31.10.2021.

Liesl Raff’s work will be included in the group show ‘Einatmen, Ausatmen’ curated by Katrin Bucher. The show will be running from 02.06. –  13.11.2021.
