We are living in a highly volatile socio-political moment, in which explicit aggression in public space is continuously escalating. Against this backdrop, Fieber (German for fever) refers to a condition in which the body feels numb while simultaneously mounting an intense internal response to a virus or bacteria.

The first room of this show resembles a fever dream, where figures emerge in a surrealist manner. Some of them are remnants of pain or experiences of violence, but you cannot fully grasp them. They slip away as you approach.

The experience delves further into a dissociative moment, in which you lose a clear sense of reality. In the second room, figures and forms are fleeting. Stable structures dissolve; instead a blur vision sets in.

Lastly, you lie down. In stillness, you become aware of your body pumping blood through its veins. Closing your eyes, images flash up. The rhythm takes hold of your body.
